Was it just me or was the month of May SUPER long. I’m not mad about it, just felt like it stretched on forever. It was a crazy month for me. I left a job I had been at for over 5 years, had a full week off to do nothing AND started a brand new job with new people and new things. I have a hunch that June is going to be a time for change too... Lately I’ve been feeling like a little bud trying to find the top soil and I think I have finally found the light and can start blooming.
Too deep?! Lucky for you, I have some more surface level things to talk about, like my favorite things in the past 30ish days! I do a “favorites” post every month and it is one of my actual favorite posts, because I get to reflect on everything. Threshold Tall Woven Basket. I purchased this basket as a laundry basket (showed you here) and am loving it! It doesn’t crowd my bathroom anymore and can be used for things other than laundry if I so choose. A truly versatile and pretty product!
Hello Activated Charcoal Floss. I’m going to do a whole post on floss, but until then here is a sneak peak! I like this floss enough to actually floss every day, which if I’m being honest… is something I haven’t really done. Plus there isn’t any coconut oil in this one!
Madewell High Waisted Shorts. I have been wearing the tar out of these! They’ll actually be on the blog tomorrow, but I just featured them here too. They are my go-to denim shorts right now! Not too short, stretchy and high waisted!
Hair Clips. Nick hates these, buuut I have been getting in touch with my 90’s child self and have been wearing them pretty much every day. My new job involves more physical activity, so I’ve been trying to keep my hair back and out of my face. I also have been crazy breaking out on my hairline and I’m trying to help that too.
Outdoor Voices Dress (c/o). I love to wear dresses, especially in the summer. OV came out with their workout dress about a year ago and I had never tried it until now. I love how it keeps me “all in”, but that the dress part isn’t bodycon. This past weekend, I wore it to golf in and to run in and it was perfect. I did have some under-boob sweat, but I think if I wore a sports bra with it, that would help it not show up on the front of the dress.
True and Co. Plunge Bra (c/o). I’ve been testing out True and Co. bras now for almost 2 months! I really like this one, because it goes low enough and the cups aren’t full coverage, so I can actually wear a normal bra with lower cut things. It is super comfy and pretty, too!
J. Crew Collection Pull On Pants. I lost these pants for almost a year, but recently found them in my car - LOL. They don’t really wrinkle and are perfect for the beach of for work or a wedding. I love a good wide leg and these are chic AND comfy. Did I mention they have an elastic waist?!
Juice Beauty Jelly Eyeshadow (c/o). I’ve been trying to get more into makeup, and that includes eyeshadow! I love using this alone for a light shimmer or as a base for a more glammed up look. Super travel friendly and has an easy application wand. Love!!
NYX Eyebrow Gel. In getting into makeup, I started doing my eyebrows every now and then. This was the only relatively nontoxic kind I could find that didn’t have coconut oil! I apply it with my finger and then shape it up with a q-tip and toner.
